Hello, I'm currently interested in metal fluorescence enhancement.
As far as I know, metal can enhance the intensity of fluorophore.
Is it able to use any kinds of fluorophore without its excitation and emission wavelength?
Also, which one is better enhancer between silver and gold nanoparticle?
Finally, why the size of nanoparticle is important in this enhancement?

Silver or gold nanoparticles? It depends on the absorption and emission of the fluorophore. It has to be some overlap between both and the plasmon absorption band of the nanoparticles.
Bigger particles are likely to produce best enhancements as they scatter more light than they absorb, as compared to the small ones.
