I have found several papers showing that stress and/or direct exposure of cells to glucocorticoids can either upregulate or downregulate TERT expression in vitro and in vivo (depending on methods, the type of cell, etc). Does anybody know how GR or MR may influence TERT expression? Does TERT have a GRE or perhaps there is an indirect effect via NF-kB or AP-1... Thank you.
