I have three compounds named as SMAL102, SMAL104 and SMAL104, the CMC value is 0.006, 0.040 and 0.2 mg/ml respectively. We analyzed the cytotoxicity in colon cancer and found SMAL102 showed promising anticancer activity. while SMAL104 anad SMAL108 failed to show the anticancer activity. the concentration which I used for cytotoxicity assay is that 2.5, 5 and 10 ug/ml, which is lower than SMA102 CMC value, while SMAL104 and 108 have higher CMC value.
How can I interpret the results?
hi Giuseppe Tarabella, we develop a novel drug-like Self-Micellizing Anticancer Lipid (SMAL), its some lipid analogue, Single molecule formed micelle and we checked the anti cancer activity in colon cancer (HCT116 and HT-29) by MTT assay and we check cell cycle analysis, Annexin V staining and western blot analysis as well. over all SMAL102 showed anti cancer activity. As I explained above the CMC value. the particle size also have lot of diferences. when we compare the particle size SMAL102 showed around 180nm and SMAL104 and SMAl108 showed 400 nm and 2000nm respectively.
