Dear researchers,

I am preparing polymer solutions with this composition:

Polymer= PVDF - 18 wt%

Additive= PEG200- 5 wt%

Solvent= DMAc- 77 wt%

Firstly DMAc+ PEG mix at 100 rpm and 25 C and then the temperature is increased to 50C and PVDF is added in 450 rpm (to prevent gel formation) to the container. After it dissolved visually the mixing speed is decreased to 100 rpm for 24 h.

This high speed during PVDF addition creates high Reynolds number. Is it destructive for polymer chains?

Regards
