The literature says that these two laser dyes are synonyms, however Rhodamine 101 is a chloride, so when looking up characteristics (optical) would there be any difference. İs it ok if i take them as same?
In accordance to EXITON LASER DYE COMPANY it is the same dye with different commercial name and the same chemical name. Besides I could add that dye cation has main effect on spectroscopic properties of dye in solution in compare to anion and at low consentration. But anion can efffect on solulability of the given dye. and peculiarity of an pair interaction of dye cations under higher concentration.
You can take them as the same, because the optical properties of dilute solutions of these Rhodamines in polar solvents do not depend on the type of counter-anion.
