These rates do not include taxes and fuel price adjustments, which often make the effective rate much higher — sometimes Rs. 50 or more per unit.
The United States is a relatively large country, so the cost of electricity varies greatly from one part of the country to another. However, I live in Texas (United States) and the average cost of electricity in this state is between 14 cents (US) to 16 cents (US) per kWh.
