I am working on the diagnosis of Visceral leishmaniasis based on the urine DNA. i want to know the average quantity of DNA in urine of visceral leishmaniasis patients. anyone has any idea about the quantity of DNA in urine. I mean pg DNA/ml urine. Thank you.

The Amount of DNA ranged from 19 to 7182 ng/ml for the female urine and from 6 to 7128 ng/ml for the male urine.
But its depends on many physiological condition.

Thank you Arvind .. Actually Prakash is working on development non-invasive diagnostic kit based on urine DNA. He wants the average quantity of DNA/ ml urine in kala-azar patients. Anyway, nevertheless the paper you sent are very useful for him. Thank you.
