I am out in the market for a luminescence/fluorescence microplate reader. I have quotes for the Promega GloMax® Explorer and the Synergy Lx, Multi-mode Reader. Please, can anyone comment on these equipments or suggest others? Thanks
Mozart, I used the GloMax for dual-luciferase assay (as N- and C- terminal tags) in E. coli. I've heard there's frequently high variability between replicates (high error bars), but I got apparently good results. If you are interested, I can share the protocol I used with you.
But unfortunately I've never tried other equipments to be able to do a comparison.
Thanks Letícia. Indeed I also read about variability. In the future it might come in hand to have some close to share ideas. Thanks. Hope all is fine with you.
