What is the best procedure to deliver peptide- protein complex in cells (HEK293)?

Can anyone suggest the best procedure to make the protein-peptide complex and its transfection invitro? If directly add the complex to cell media is it works fine? How long I need to incubate? and how can I optimize the dose?
