Generally "double emulsion solvent evaporation" method (W/O/W) is used to encapsulate water soluble drugs such as peptides, DNA and RNA in NPs. However, the simultaneous co-encapsulation with a water-insoluble drug (hydrophobic), for codelivery purposes, would require making amendments to the original w/o/w protocol. So I was wondering if anybody has relevant experiences or information?
