At this instance, plenty of bogus and predatory journals are capturing the research platforms and trying to make a profitable business out of it. It's pretty hard to choose and publish with a journal of superior quality with the moderate timeline. I'm also confused between how the journals are claiming superiority over each other based on the indexing and impact factor? Even very ordinary range of journals are claiming to have an impact factor above 3 or so. Thus, considering this scenario it's very hard to find a journal of our choice which is indexed with globally reputed partners such as SCI, SCOPUS, or THOMPSON & REUTERS etc. Please share your views regarding the same.

To avoid being deceived by fake journals which claim to have a high impact factor, It is better to submit papers and studies only to the journals indexed in Scopus, Thompson & Reuters, and SJR database.
Calculation of 2018 IF of a journal:
A = the number of times articles published in 2016 and 2017 were cited by indexed journals during 2018.
B = the total number of "citable items" published in 2016 and 2017.
