Hi! I am doing an experiment where I need to spray a chemical on plant. I will be using autoclaved milliQ water as a base to dissolve small quantities of that chemical. I was wondering how can we avoid the osmotic shock from milliQ water? I found online that people use PBS buffer in case of animal cells. Can I use PBS buffer for plants as well? Is there any other buffer more suitable for plants?

Thanks for the help!
