Most cold extraction of plant samples by maceration are reportedly done for 72 hours (3days). Is there any SIGNIFICANT consequence of leaving it a beat longer say 5days or 6days? Would the active ingredients deteriorate significantly?
Upon talking about maceration, it stated : "... allowed to stand at room temperature for a period of at least 3 days with frequent agitation until the soluble matter has dissolved. ".
There is no time limit unless there are some undesirable changes that may occur as time goes by. I think that most of the "goods" will be "delivered" in 3 days! Additional time "may" not add an advantage as has been observed when we did some scientific exhibitions "not research" were we tried our best to please the visitors.
