What is happiness?, are you happy?
Happiness is the state of contentment in our heart. Ourselves play a role in deciding whether we want to be happy or not while confronting a positive or negative event / experience. Some people only feel happy when they encounter positive events whereas other people feel happy even though they are facing a negative event / failure etc. Some people feel happy even though they don't achieve anything because they are grateful that they are still alive etc.
Happiness is often defined as the condition we enjoy in our heart when our state of mind is put at rest and excited and this happens when goals and expectations are satisfactorily met. However, I would define happiness as the feeling of self-contentment and appreciation for what we have physically, emotionally and more importantly, spiritually. Personally, I try not to set unreasonable goals that would only lead to frustrations and make myself unhappy. More importantly, I always appreciate the little things that happen to me in my life and I take my happiness from it, after all, my situation is always better than what others have so why be sad? The happiness obtains when peace predominates terrorism and people live safely in the world. The peace is greatest blessings from Allah for all peoples .
