click chemistry A way to manufacture organic compounds at high rates. How is this done? Is it a branch of organic chemistry? I would like researchers working in this direction to answer. Thank you for your cooperation.
I think there are much better area you can focus your research than this. I think click chemistry is a little inflated. The attached photo from The Nobel Prize LinkedIn account summarizes it very well. Click chemistry is much like other chemical reactions based on my limited research in the area so far. It is just more specific and can bind two molecules together in a messy environment like our body in contrast to a peptide bond formation which is not a specific chemical reaction and is formed by a dehydration synthesis happening every where in our body. Dehydration synthesis can bind our specific molecules to other unintended molecules. That is why click chemistry is unique. I hope it helps.
The catalytic effect of copper ions is higly appreciated, however, it should be noted that copper ions can form very sensitive explosives with azide anions.
