What is ASS assay, ADI assay and what is Enzymatic Assay ?
ASS and ADI are enzymes which have to do with metabolic pathways involving citrulline.
ASS is argininosuccinate synthase. By means of ATP, this enzyme catalyzes the formation of argininosuccinate from aspartate and citrulline.
ADI is arginine deaminase which catalyzes the formation of citrulline from arginine. Additionally ammonia is formed by this reaction.
