I worked with an Sciex AP4000 triple quad but now I have to start a new lab and I am looking for a new instrument. The lab focus is clinical and preclinical pharmacokinetic of anticancer drug.
From my 7+ years experience with Sciex, its definitely my favourite one. Although did not use 8060, but 6500 might provide better sensitivity and dynamic range. Alrhough heard that Shimadzu’s triple quads are quite nice. Being a Sciex fan, my vote is for 6500 (biased opinion).
I was using both in my lab and definitely I can recommend Sciex. In case of targeted analysis I am quite sure it is the best vendor. I am currently user of 4500, 5500, 6500 and TripleTOF. I have also experience with Agilent and Theromo machines and as I have stated before targeted analysis = Sciex.
Thanks a lot for your answers, but can you explain why sciex is better than shimadzu instrument? Better sensitivity? or easier to use? Less mantainance?
