I would like to inject NOD/SCID mice with a tumor cell line which over expresses folate receptors. I tired using HeLa cells however they don't seem to grow very well on injection. I am injecting 10^7 cells in 100uL 1X PBS subcutaneously. Could someone recommend me alternative cell lines which are more aggressive or any possible modifications to my method.

Have you tried RT16 or D4 dells - these express FRa and FRb in high concentrations?
