We have IVIS lumina 2, which is currently having a problem of camera not being cooled to recommended range of -90C. What happens exactly if it does not cool to -90C? My understanding is that it'll be less efficient in reducing level of dark noise. Is there an accepted range of temperature? Is there a way to check the level of dark noise to see if its significance compared to signal generated from our imaging?

Hi Henry. Sorry, I saw your question a little late. If the camera is not cooling, we'd recommend that you verify that the room temperature is within operational
limits (15-25°C, 59-77°F). Overheating can also happen if the air vents in the camera head are blocked. You can remove the protective cover and inspect.
You are correct that without proper cooling, noise increases and you can also get false positive signals. I don't know if there is an acceptable range of temperature within which you can reliably operate the IVIS.
