I thought firstly about the glucocorticoid used during treatment (eye injury due to trauma), however AP values where increased since the very first analysis (28 days of treatment with blood sampling each 7 days), and the treatment with prednisolone started at the 14th day of treatment. Radiographical analysis didn't show fractures and the animal was released sucessfully into the wild after treatment. This case remained in my head though.
Reference values of the species used for comparison had a sample number around 20 individuals and was the only known parameter I had disponible.
