I once saw a circle called "The circle of science" in which you start at the center and head towards the periphery. You keep studying until you reach te edge of one point. Then your job is to push this point a bit further to enlarge the circle. If your colleagues do te same, the circle will keep getting bigger in a regular way and science will keep getting advanced.
2. To put himself on the scientific path through reading and writing, which enables him to work on reviewing many papers related to his specialization and get more deep experience in his career, and put himself on the scientific line as a professional to enable him to obtain good reputation and self-acquisition
BECAUSE this is our mission as university professors
There are many reasons why we engage in research. It include: for better understanding of the topic of discussion so as to become an authority or reference point on the topic, for national development and pride, for the researcher, it includes for promotion and building reputation. The development of a nation is dependent on the type of research its embark on.
Thanks for your question. If I would like give my answer of your question with the view of science, I can tell you just one thing. If your research work is really potential and contain significant results whatever positive or negative, it opens the door for further studies in a specific field. Moreover it could be remarkable blessings for human or animal being. It doesn't matter in what extend because your efficient effort even from primary level, can take us closer to the optimum success. And that's why in all over the world, we spend billion of dollars for research without knowing its outcome.
Most of the cases one don't have every facilities under the same lab. for example in phytochemistry, someone can screening the plant, someone isolate the compound, someone perform the biological test. if you have every facilities then another story. But from screening to biological test or drug discovery, every one contribution is respectable, be it minor or major.
Its depends on the aim and objectives of research. If anyone wants to gain only reputation through good publication, its possible. But we do believe that most of the researchers spent their life in research not only developing their reputation but also human welfare.
