I have modeled a concrete cylinder for compression test in ansys using concrete 65 element. I have modeled and done with the linear analysis. But when I am performing nonlinear analysis by taking M30 concrete nonlinear property; the result is non converging after taking a uniform pressure of 19 Mpa. At the last sub step after 19 Mpa pressure load the displacement is very high. Can anyone help me regarding this issue? I have attached my ansys apdl script file for reference.
Thank you Moloud for the reply. I have change the maximum number of iteration equation many times but it still it was showing the same non convergence problem. When I checked the detailed iteration summary; the maximum number of iteration was only 12. What I found when I remove the crushing capability of the concrete by setting it to -1, the results is found to be converging. But I need the crushing capability of concrete for my analysis for which the result is not converging.

Did you check your error file? You might have distorted elements. Try to increase the number of sub-steps.

Yes, the analysis have distorted elements and I also try it by increasing the number sub-steps to million but the result is same. It is not converging after taking the half of loads.
Ok, the problem with distorted elements can be reduced if you'll either try to change the default setting for element check or switch off all checks. Debugging is a lengthy process so you have to eliminate one problem at the time. If it does not run then see again the error file to get information about the problem.
