When I run a load step by restarting the analysis how can I delete that load step if the result is non convergent without altering my previous load steps. And reassigning the new loads for that load step.
Generally when the solution is not converged then the soln stop automatically by showing some warning. That warning you have to check and do the needful for that.
Yes, you are correct. But my problem is if I have converged solution for some load step as an example take load step 16 then I restart the analysis for the model by increasing the load and writing that load step as 17 but in this case my solution does not converged due to some errors or warning then how can I erase load step 17, keeping up to load step 16. So that the analysis can be restarted with load step 17 with new loading during the same session.
I AM ALSO DOING TRANSIENT THERMAL ANALYSIS IN APDL. BUT EVERYTIME I AM GETTING ANTYPE ERROR PROBLEM. CAN YOU SUGGEST ME HOW WILL I SOLVE THIS PROBLEM? THANK YOU
What I did in my case was I run the analysis for some load step till which I am confirm that the solution will converge. Then, I will restart the solution with increasing the load but in this case I will increase very minor loads with more sub steps which help in the converging the solution as at this time structure is in critical state means near to failure. And if the following restart load step converges then I will added another load step and check with my failure criteria till the structure fails.
