I am planing to perform an ELISA assay in mice infected with schistosoma mansoni, and I would like to asses the antibody responses thereafter, how do I determine the correct isotype to look for?
IgG1, IgG2a and IgG2b. These cover both the complement-fixing and the antigen binding capacity. I would definitely look for IgE also.
Th1-IgG2a, IgG2b and Ig3 and Th2 is IgG1 in mice
IgG1 for TH1 and IgG2a for Th2. Good luck.
