What are the effects of mineralizing agents like MgF2, MgO, CaF2, AlF3 etc. on calcination of bayer process Al2O3.3H2O for alumina production?

Alumina is produced in Industrial Rotary Kilns by Calcination Process using Bayer Process Al2O3.3H2O. So different mineralizing agents are used to lower soda, obtain required particles size, shape and SSA. But what exact difference is rendered by each above mentioned mineralizing agent?
