I've been trying to culture HepG2 cells from frozen stock; but they either die or look really weak!
Rule out: contamination
Note: other revived cells are alive and well.
Any ideas as to what might be happening to my HepG2?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Sara,
I've cultured HepG2 and I know what your going through. I struggled in one lab with HepG2 but was able to grow them in another. I tweaked with the media after reading about growth conditions. What media are you using?

Hi Emmanuel,
I'm currently using RPMI (5%FCS).
Any tips?
Thank you
Try using DMEM 10% FCS 1% PS. If they look different with RPMI can u please let me know? Overall, DMEM makes them happy.
