I want to synthesize porous silica nanoparticles (size range: 10nm to 100nm) using tetraethoxy orthosilicate (TEOS) in the presence of tween80 or CTAB as surfactant and liquid ammonia or NaOH. I followed few papers and tried synthesizing, but no luck. Any paper with tried and working protocol will be a great help.

Actually the synthesis you are trying to do is very well-known and rather simple. You just have to follow proper sequence of addition of reagents. When you add CTAB give some time for the micelle formation before adding silica source(TEOS).
You can google synthesis of MCM-41 type porous silica and you will get thousands of papers reporting the synthesis. Otherwise you will find some papers avilable also on my profile.

I did a lot of silica nanoparticle synthesis (MCM-41 especially) and the small details matter a lot. Try to control the temperature very closely temperature, TEOS cannot be old because it polymerizes, the stirring is really important and you should form a vortex that is a good size (strong enough that you can barely see the bottom of the flask but not too strong it splashes), choose a flask that is about half way full, add the TEOS slowly.
