I am learning about the pros and cons of Unyvero and MALDI -TOF on identification. I have a few question that I hope someone could help me to correct my understanding
1. Unyvero can do virus identification while Maldi-Tof (let's say Bruker brand) is not able to do that virus identification ?
2. Maldi-Tof require culturing the sample => total time analysis vary to a couple of days , meanwhile Unyvero isnt require culturing the sample and can have result after 4-5 hours ?
3. They are both just stop at identification and cannot give MIC as other instruments in the market (rule in method) but kind of rule out method ?

If you want to correlate microbial translocation, antimicrobial resistance, gut leakage etc...as infection biomarkers detection you should be able to use it for that matter.
