You can conduct an A-B test or the many different variations (depending on group/s). There are many models, but pay attention to variables which impact validity, reliability, and generalizability.
It seems to me that retention is 1/0 dependent variable, so you should analyze it using logistic regression.
Do you mean retention in the program, or I as I presumed, retention of knowledge? Please clarify.
David Coker I'm not sure if your question was for me, but just in case: logistic regression analysis is a statistical technique for analyzing dichotomous (1/0) dependent variables.
