I got confused between two negative controls: NTC (No Template Control) and NC (Negative Control).
Am I right?
NTC: No DNA or nuclease-free water as a template?
NC: Added nuclease-free water as a template?
My third question:
What exactly is NRT?

The no template control (NTC) and no reverse transcriptase control (NRT) are just two different forms of negative control.
With NRT, you perform your reverse transcription in the absence of the reverse transcriptase enzyme, so no cDNA should form.
With NTC, you perform your qPCR with no cDNA added as a template, the result should be no amplification if there was no contamination.
