There is an acyl chain binding with my protein. How can I identify this flanking chain?

I am studying a Acyl carrier Protein in Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

C- and H-NMR for example will give you data that allow you to know exactly how long is your acyl chain ;). I've done it with marine siderophores, worked like a charm. Good luck!
