Can anyone suggest a reference that deals with a decent, contemporary taxonomy of data sources? There is the old taxonomy by Cattell: Q-Data (= Questionnaire Data), T-Data (= Test-Data), and L-Data (= Life-Data), which is sometimes extended with O (for observational data). But nowadays, this seems a little bit old-fashioned and meager.
There is a good paper by Kroehne & Goldhammer (2018) discussing para-data, meta-data, and auxiliary-data. But what about blood marker, MRI data, and so on? Anything else you could suggest?

since the question keeps popping up in my profile and so far, no answer emerges, here some suggestions: First, why not start a new taxonomy and make it a scientific standard? :-)

Mayer (2004) has a hierarchical system and on the top level, he distinguishes information stemming from within (e. g. self-report) or from outside the person. Afterwards this is further seperated into domains and type of data source. I am not sure, if this is what you are looking for, but it is a much more recent source compared to Cattell and maybe it gives some ideas on alternative taxonomies.Cheers,
