In the lysis buffer prepared for the extraction of whiteflies proteinase K is added. Is there any susbstitute for proteinase K?
In short, no. You can look for a different protocol.
Thanks mam
Actaually there is no substitute for proteinase k in the classical estimation method of DNA. However, one may find several sustitutes being worked upo like, a plant proteinase, extracted from Bromelia fastuosa, as an alternative to proteinase K
