thanks for your kind reply, actually i didn't studied the mineralogy of the sediment, this is bulk geochemistry of the marine sediment, these sediments are silty clay to clayey silt in nature. from the correlation matrix i suspect the presence of titanomagnite/ sphene/ illemenite contribution.

As far as the method used is concerned, the statement "correlation matrix" is not unequivocal.
