Solid mechanics... To determine the mechanical properties of the composite....
OK, at a first glance the modeling should be about a single periodic volume cell, i.e. microscale, from which one infers the properties at a macroscopic scale. I mean in both cases: mechanical properties and mass transport. Are You sured that there is no reference to base on? This should be a multiscale modeling.
I have found several papers where they model the nanotube as a continuous cylinder, but were not specifically developed on comsol.... also the parameters and conditions used are not shown.... so then, I'm lost...
I have some experience on COMSOL simulation; what is your aim to simulation? Are you going to simulate the mass transfer; heat transfer or something else ?

I want to simulate the mechanical behavior of cnt-polymer composite, as a first step.... but I want to simulate the thermal behavior too...
