I'm selecting the pipette tips to use in our new lab. We are going to buy bulk tips and use them after autoclaving them. I found that some products are described as "pyrogen-free" and some are not. They are more expensive, and also, the tips I tried and liked the shape were not pyrogen-free. It sounds better to be "anything"-free which means less contamination, but should all the tips be pyrogen-free? If they are not stated as pyrogen-free, are they actually contaminated with pyrogen and likely to cause troubles in our experiments?
Thank you in advance.
