I'm wondering if anyone has ever noticed changing phenotypes in (transgenic) mice during the course of a year?

In detail, we observe that an embryonic lethality phenotype of one of our mouse strains seems to appear and vanish with the year's seasons. Does anybody have any idea how this can happen in a strictly controlled and stable, sterile environment like a mouse house, where the mice live under absolutely constant conditions?
