After the spreading of COVID-19, and surly this pandemic will be past in one day, so we have to reform our life based of these hard days under this noel virus.
There is no present without a past. All that you have today as present will one day become past. It is outright foolishness to ignore the past. All our strength are drawn from the past. As a lecturer, I draw a lot of strength and analogy from past experiences which I share with my teeming number of students. The mistakes of the past should not be repeated but the successes of the past should be upheld and even improved upon.
The most important reasons that bring me back to the past is the lack of fear of the future when we were younger, not taking responsibility for other people and feeling innocent and safe, unlike the current time when we count a thousand accounts for each step we take.
The past is more beautiful than the present. The past includes the stage of childhood, where innocence in dealing with everything around you with a pure heart and a pure soul that knows nothing but honesty.
The past means the youth stage, where complete health and youthful aggression. The past is the most beautiful, where all family members, friends, relatives, and neighbors are all present, and none of them has left our world.
Matthew 13:52 Then He told them, “For this reason, every scribe who has been discipled in the kingdom of heaven is like a homeowner who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.”
In research endeavours, looking back to the past helps us not to reinvent the wheel and keeps track of the knowledge gap that needed to be filled. The past helps us to know the solutions that has worked in the past and how to approach the present and equally equip us on how to project or forecast for the future
TO REMIND YOURSELF HOW FAR YOU’VE COME: Sometimes, you might be hard on yourself and become discouraged. Reflection is important here. Indeed, it switches the mindset and flips the focus back to how far you’ve come rather than how far you have to go. Seeing the progress you’ve made and remembering the things you’ve done right can serve as the positive motivational element you need to stay on the path to success.
TO KEEP AN OPEN MIND AND PRACTICE EMPATHY: Reflection on life helps keep your mind open and can even help you release judgment. For example, if someone’s in a “less than desirable” position in life, it’s always important to remember that maybe in your own life at one time, you were in an unsavory spot as well. You may even have been given the third degree by someone and judged on the spot.
Looking back on memories of closed-mindedness can certainly help you move forward with an open one. Practice empathy for those with love and support over criticism to help solve problems that the past may have created.
The past provides greater understanding of the present, not just about your life but about human psychology and organisations. It can simply afford lessons on what to embrace and what to avoid. Someone who says they live in the present are perhaps indicating an unreflective nature. Travelling back into your own past can sometimes be upsetting or and provide motivation in the present.
TO REFLECT ON GOOD, LOVING MEMORIES. Looking back on the positive memories of life have multiple benefits. Understanding the person you are today involves recalling memories. It’s important to focus on the good, loving memories that make you feel warm and fuzzy as opposed to the negative ones.
If you’re feeling depressed, there may be a memory that will warm your heart and help pick you up out of the slump. If you’re sad or mourning, you can remember a happier time and allow a warmer feeling to come back into your heart. Even if you are having an argument with someone, one of the best things to do is strike up a positive memory you’ve both shared to diffuse the situation.
You have your own unique life experience, but just like everyone else, it has it’s bright spots. Focus on them and allow them to expand in your life.
TO REMIND YOURSELF OF YOUR MISSION IN LIFE. After traveling for so long, you may get forget why you’re still going. Life is a long and complex journey, and it’s easy to get sidetracked. But when you remind yourself of why you decided to walk this unique path, you become reinvigorated with the same powerful energy of intention you set as you started out.
I hoped that I lived only at that time,I mean in the past, though more successful accomplishments we have been achieving, but,I used to retrieve the happy moments I lived in the past.
If that will permit, then I will become more perfect because on what I have done wrong, I can correct with an accurate solution and I can avoid such mistakes and be responsible for all the moves that I am supposed to do. However, we all know that cannot be done, but through our effort in the present, we can do something and somehow to correct and will do what needs to be done to our environment.
TO DISCOVER A NEGATIVE LIFE CYCLE. When you reflect on the past, you’ll stir up a lot of positive, but there’s also negative there too. Don’t get stuck in a past traumatic event. Instead, you can actually use the darkness to create the brightest light. Look for past negative cycles or patterns. Furthermore, ask yourself why they happened and if there is a lesson you can take from your struggle. When it’s brought to your attention you can find a solution to move forward even stronger. In fact, this is a secret of many successful people.
To Remind Yourself Where You Are Going. There are times in life that you find ourselves so caught up in the moment and the present challenges that you are facing, that you lose touch with the bigger picture including the goals that you have set for yourself in life. Reflecting upon your mission in life will allow you to realize when you are becoming distracted, getting sidetracked from the path you have set out to travel.
To Recognize and Break a Negative Life Cycle. Throughout your life, you develop patterns of behavior – the way in which you handle situations in life, and react to it. These life cycles, once identified, can, in turn, be used to predict how you are going to react to situations that may occur in your life moving forward. If you find that you are making the same mistake in your life time and time again, it is time to recognize that pattern as this will allow you to, in turn, make the necessary changes to break this habit.
It can help to develop a sense of gratitude. Many people come from humble beginnings, looking back at it can always be both motivation and inspiration. And of course the common saying that(paraphrased): ‘you have to know where you are coming from to know where you are going’ holds. The past can help give use clarity for the future.
When you look back, you see how far you have gone, and seeing the distance from where you were to where you are now is encouraging. Knowing that you have made a huge improvement by moving away from your unhealthy and toxic past will give you a sense of fulfillment. It will make you want to keep pushing and never stop.
You need to forget some feelings but you need to remember the lessons that came with the experience. Revisiting the past will remind you of how you managed to survive it and what brought you where you are.
Nostalgia for the beautiful things that existed love, peace and contentment of people with little they had, even the climate was in the past more beautiful ..
