I need to extract a big amount (hundred) of RNA from tissues and using single columns is no more feasible.
We tried to use the Qiagen 96 well kit, because our samples are in RLT buffer (the buffer from those kits), but the column plates + the collector plate is just a couple millimeters to thick for high for our rotor.
I wonder if someone has tricks to substitute the collector plates with smaller one, or can point me towards alternative kits that are thinner and can still process RLT.

The kit based on the same chemical lysis of samples are:
- PureLink by Thermofisher
- NucleoSpin by Macherey Nagel
- Merk kit (they never answered.
The qiagen kit is 7.5-8 cm thick (height), while the PureLink is just 7cm.
While Thermofisher was optimistic, but never tested this lysis buffer exchange, MN already did it and was sure of the results.
Furthermore, MN provide a collection plate that is half the thickness of the standard one, usually used for elution, but can be used for waste collection too.
Considering the prices and the versatility, we decided to test the MN on our system.
