When you submit a paper for publication, you can expect one of the following:

· Acceptance without any modification

· Rejection without any review

· Acceptance, subject to modification as suggested by the reviewers

· Rejection, but with an offer to reconsider, if it is drastically revised as suggested

Acceptance of papers without any modification is rare, and in your case, the third possibility happened; and you received a letter asking for modification or revision with referee’s comments. This is normal, and as you have carried out the modifications and returned the modified article promptly, now, you wait for their response. Normally, they may inform you acceptance details including the issue number of the journal in which it would be published. After finalizing the issue number and lay out, certain journals send page proofs, which you have to return promptly after making the corrections, if any .
