Good day everyone, as stated in the title i am having a confusion on my data result. Please allow me to delineate my problem, the topic is multcollinearity.

So upon my data analysis i have found that my predictors are highly correlated. I am doing a moderation study, which means i cannot just throw away one of my variable because thats the only one i have.

The relation between the interaction variable towards the predictor is 0.8 with VIF (in the regression analysis) is 15. However no multicollinearity occurs between interaction variable and moderation variable (the r value is only 0.3 and the VIF score in the regression analysis is 8)

So my questions:

  • upon my research Ridge Regression is the best  most effective way and most well-known to handle multicollinearity. Is this correct?
  • The only software that has this feature is only statgraphic. Is this also correct?
  • So when i perform ridge regression on statgraphic, does it mean i would now need to analyze my data in SPSS again?
  • Is there anyone who knows the steps in doing ridge regression in statgraphic?
  • Thank you very much, hopw somebody could help and reply. All comments are highly appreciated.

    Have a nice day
