There are HPLC methods for Sugar Analysis. They are very common. I would just homogenize the sample in water. Store it in the refrigerator in order to prevent yeast fermentation of the mash. Filter a sample (0.22 um), and inject into the HPLC.
1. Method 1 is a Water's Sugarpak column (or equivalent like Rezex or Hi-Plex) using a 85 Celsius water mobile phase and a 'Refractive Index Detector (RID)'.
2. Method 2 is a Biorad Aminex column (or equivalent) and a PDA/DAD set at 210 nm.

Now i would like to do GC-MS , but the problem is that according to article the temperature for column should be 320C by GC MS but in our lab GC MS can only support up to 280 C due to which i have not got a very good results, so whats your suggestions??
