I am doing cyanobacteria DNA extraction. I have used many preassembled kits for DNA extraction but could not get good purity. I tried ethanol purifictaion but i lost 60% of DNA. Pls suggest me some protocols to get good 260/280 and also 260/230 purity without much DNA loss.

Are you able to use DNA extraction kit for bacteria? In many cases of DNA extraction using "preassembled kits", might give you low quality of DNA. So, if your purpose is to obtain good yield of DNA from the extraction process, I highly recommend you to try the DNA extraction kit if it is affordable for you.
Hi : there are a lot of DNA extraction protocols, you must select the protocol that same people use it for that same sample that you extract DNA from,
To get a good quality of DNA the best thing is to use phenol : chloroform ,
