I am working on concrete materials, as part of my Ph.D. work, I need to carry out my thesis work with theoretical and numerical models. Please suggest me.
In general Mohr-Coulomb model is good enough. However, depending on your objectives, the damage model may be appropriate if you want to examine the damaging behaviour of concrete. The manual of FEM software, such as Abaqus, has more details.
There were many concrete material models. I suggest that you can use Concrete Damage Plasticity Model (CDP) in Abaqus. This model is very popular lately and you can find many resources.
