I am trying to make transgenic cell lines, which would express a long fusion protein. However, since the cassette is too big, and I can't package into viruses, I was planning on expressing a transposase to generate stable integrants. My cassette is flanked by inverted terminal repeats (annotated as "piggybac terminal repeats"). However, since the piggybac transposase expression vector is currently not distributed by Addgene, I was hoping to co-transfect my vector and the SB100X transposase. Would this still work?
