Mass vaccination for Covid-19 is going to start very soon. Whom do you think should be given priority for vaccination? Senior citizens, frontline workers or students? Why?
My suggestion would be the most vulnerable groups within each set of populations.
These are the groups that face the highest level of risk or exposure to infection.
They include:
1) Aged ones from age around 55years and above.
2) Persons in co-morbid conditions, such as those with compromised immunity, those having other diseases and at poor States of health.
3) Frontline clinical workers and support staff at the Frontline where they meet, do consultations, do medical tests or emergency work, or have contact transporting or xrrying those diseased due to Covid-19 infection.
4) Researchers handling blood or fluid or other forms of tissues from humans, of which includes those working to design and develop drugs, antivirals or vaccines through handling any portion from the human body. They work under stringent laboratory bio-safety conditions due to the huge risk of likely infection if these utmost bio-safety measures are not put to use.
THEN these groups listed below also.
4) Those who transport people between countries via airplane or ship or fast trains..
5) Those who transport people between regions, provinces or states within a country.
THEN... Others in populations.
Cheers, Dr Hossain.
