Hello, i am currently studying on the property of different pH of chitosan on surface-modified PDMS. I found that pH 4.0- 6.0 was hydrophilic towards the surface-modified PDMS... but pH 5.5 showed an extreme hydrophobic (>90 degree). any reason why?

Quite possibly, pH=5.5 is its isoelectric point.
