I am trying to simulate the pyrolysis using RBatch reactor. I have included all the syngas reactions and defined their kinetics parameters. Biomass is defined as a non-conventional solid using the proximate and ultimate analysis values. It is a very simple flowsheet (attached) because i am starting to learn Aspen plus. I have received errors like
SEVERE ERROR
TEMPERATURE CALCULATIONS FOR SINGLE NON-CONVENTIONAL PHASE FAILED TO CONVERGE.
This error could be due to the thermodynamic equation of state that you selected. Please select the Soave-Redlich-Kwong (RWS) equation of state and try to solve your model.

Above given answers by peers are very fine. please check it with different model equation and i think more important is "reactor" type you selected. On some trial basis you can verify it. another thing for consideration is feed composition and product [s]. check it by making some trials
