I am setting up an experiment where we will be replicating an insect-based diet. Due to COVID-restrictions we are currently unable to collect samples of invertebrates that are typically consumed by juvenile pallid sturgeon (e.g., mayflies, stoneflies, caddisflies) to conduct proximate analysis and bomb calorimetry. Are there existing data/publications/knowledge on the composition (such as protein, lipid, carbohydrate, caloric content... etc.) of invertebrates such as these?
