During nanoparticle (like gold and silver) synthesis, we have gone through processes such as centrifugation and dialysis to remove unbound surfactant, but we do not know exact the concentration of nanoparticles. I found that few manufacturers sell gold and silver nanoparticles as mentioning OD/ml = 1. Is it OK to use concentration in the form of OD and can I express my doses as 1 microlite of gold nanoparticles of OD/ml =1 that was used in analysis?
